About The Artist
Alexandra Von Fuerst is a visual artist using photography to raise awareness of the interconnection between the human body and nature, applying a feminine perspective to address acceptance of the taboos of contemporary social culture.
Born in 1992 to a Slovak mother and an Italian father, Alexandra grew up in Italy, graduating from the University of Communication and Design IED in Milano in 2014. At the end of her studies, she dedicated extensive time to traveling and researching around the world, learning about diverse cultures and ways of living and studying psychosomatic healing.
The creative process at the basis of her work synthesizes her immersion in Indian Ayurveda and Kundalini Yoga, along with learning about sacred plant medicine, to create using nature as both source and tool.
Alexandra is based in Paris, France.
Artist's Statement
I see within dialogue a central point to the reconstruction of meaning within contemporary culture and society.
To align with a sensitive and sustainable development of understanding, it's fundamental to nurture a vision that elevates through creation and provides a return to human and environmental health. The foundations of development lie in our ability to perceive the unity between the natural and the human, remove the barriers of the instinctual, and preserve and reinstall sacredness within a cyclical perspective on life.
