Hey, Vogue, it's Dua Lipa here.

I'm in New York for the Met Gala.

Come and get ready with me.

I look insane right now

because last night I was up until

about two o'clock in the morning

doing all the hair prep,

tying it up like Princess Leia, slept on it,

looks like this, put it in a shower cap,

went for a facial, had a massage.

So you get to see me in all my glory this morning.

[mellow electronic music]

Here are my looks, which I'm very excited about.

We're doing two really gorgeous archived Chanel pieces.

The first dress that I'm gonna wear is this gorgeous 1992

bride dress, which has been a massive dream of mine forever.

I mean, I reference this Claudia Schiffer photo

in this dress nonstop.

To honor Karl in the dress at the Met Gala

feels really, really special.

It's definitely a wild card for me, very princessy,

but I feel so good in it.

I'm very, very, very excited.

For the dinner, I'm gonna change into this 1995 archive

Chanel by Karl LagerFeld, of course.

I know how meaningful,

you know, Karl was to Anna, not just as a designer,

but also as a friend.

And his legacy is just so

prevalent and will always be in the fashion industry.

I'm very honored to get to co-chair this year.

And I'm really excited to see everybody's looks

and how they've chosen to honor Karl in their own way.

I'm quite nervous.

I hope I do him justice.

And, yeah I'm just ready for a good party, really.

[mellow electronic music]

For jewelry, a little thing from Tiffany's,

which is just this incredible diamond

that hasn't been seen yet.

Tiffany's very kindly pulled it out the vault for me

for this very special evening, and I feel very, very lucky.

It's definitely adding to the princess element of the night.

[mellow electronic music]

[Paul] I like the layer at the front.

Yeah, I like the layer at the front too.

I do like it how it is, but.

Yeah, no, I do too.

Maybe let's leave it.

'Cause the front's really good.

I would like to introduce

Paul Hanlon,

Hi, guys. who is doing my hair today.

And Kim, who's helping as well.

We went back and forth a lot with

the idea of what we wanted to do for the hair

when thinking about the iconic

Claudia Schiffer 1992 bride dress.

What we've chosen to do is keep a real like youthful

and fun element to it

that doesn't feel so, like, try hard.

It's just young and fun.

We're going to a party, so that's what it should be.

[mellow electronic music]

I'm ready to introduce a lady who needs

no introduction at all, Pat McGrath.

Hello, everyone!

[Dua laughing] Hi, Dua!

All right, here we go.

I sent you some 90s references,

wanted something not too much,

a little bit of shine, a little bit that Pat shine.

Exactly.

But we wanted to touch on a bit of a 90's supermodel.

We did some tests on some film.

We sent lots of films over the weeks.

We played with crystals and stuff.

She was like, No, thank you, Pat.

I was like, maybe for the after party.

The after party, we might, yeah,

we might do a little bit of

a party piece. Bu I think for this

just something to. Yeah.

Light smoke, little bit of sparkle on the eyelids,

nude lip look with a little bit of strength.

But you look gorgeous.

Aw, thank you.

Why, you love it?

I love it.

We need a little memory. All right,

just a little memory.

[mellow electronic music]

I'm gonna put on my Libre perfume,

which the I'm face of.

And then I'm gonna get ready!

And I'm very excited.

It's all happening.

Let's do it.

[upbeat electronic music]

And here's the look.

I feel like a fucking princess.

And I'm ready to go to the Met. [chuckles]

Thanks, Vogue, so much for joining me,

and I'll see you guys soon. [kiss smacks]
