The 76th Annual Tony Awards, celebrating the best of the 2022-2023 Broadway season, are just over a month away. Catch up on everything you need to know about the ceremony—from its date to its location, host, and expected performers—right here.

When are the 2023 Tony Awards?

The 2023 Tony Awards are set for Sunday, June 11, from 8 to 11 p.m. ET. In a departure from previous ceremonies, typically held at Radio City Music Hall or the Beacon Theater, the venue this year is the historic United Palace theater in Manhattan’s Washington Heights neighborhood.

How can I watch the 2023 Tony Awards?

The Tonys will air live on CBS and Paramount+.

Who is hosting the 2023 Tony Awards?

Ariana DeBose—who emceed last year’s ceremony—will return to host the 2023 Tonys, although the ongoing writers’ strike will likely alter her responsibilities.

How will the WGA strike impact the 2023 Tony Awards?

Per The Hollywood Reporter, the June 11 ceremony will “move forward with an unscripted, televised broadcast” as the Writers Guild of America strike stretches on. Although Lin-Manuel Miranda, who is not in the WGA, began penning this year’s opening number shortly before the work stoppage began on May 2 (the Miranda Family Fund is a longtime supporter of the United Palace), he later stopped in solidarity with the strikers.

News of the Tonys’ new format follows reports that last week, the Tony Awards Management Committee was denied a waiver or exception from the WGA, although the union confirmed that it would not picket this year’s event.

Who will perform at the 2023 Tony Awards?

Traditionally, the evening features numbers from most (if not all) of the shows up for best musical and best revival of a musical. This year, those productions are & Juliet, Kimberly Akimbo, New York, New York, Shucked, Some Like It Hot, Into the Woods, Camelot, Parade, and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
