Hey, my name is Carlacia Grant

and this is my dry skin routine

and my golden bronze makeup look.

First I'm going to wrap it up so my hair don't get wet

during this whole process

[rhythmic music]

African Beauty rock soap that you can find

at like a urban beauty supply store.

And this block lasts a year.

Cause you just pull off like a little thing like this.

It has all these little rocks in it

so it's exfoliates as well.

So I'm just gonna wet it.

[low snapping music]

Thayers rose petal facial toner.

Drip, drip, drop, drop, drop, drop, drop, drop,

drip, drip, drop, drop.

I have really dry skin, anything that hydrates

is perfect, for moi.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost gel cream on my palm like this.

[low peppy music]

When I play Cleo on Outer Banks, my skincare routine,

I am very like, you know, regimented with.

But luckily Cleo doesn't really wear foundation

because she's a bad gal.

So I literally just use like concealer

and like clear mascara.

Milk cooling water eye patches -

they say chill out on them. [giggles]

[muted snapping beat]

Lancôme hydrating mask on top of this.

I do the hydrating mask once a week

cuz it'll actually make your skin even dryer

if you use it too much.

But the under-eye patches, daily.

Look at me, I'm the masked singer.

My favorite part of my skincare routine is really this part.

Like it like literally it feels like

I'm in like a really warm sauna full of gel.

Good trick if you don't have a steamer is to just boil water

and put it in a bowl. But be careful, just let it steam.

You know your face is that rotisserie chicken

waiting to be perfected.

I'm gonna use two more hydrating products

and the first one I'm gonna use

is this Lancôme hydrating serum.

[cap pops]

It takes a few years to really find a good routine

and like know what your skin likes,

what your skin doesn't like, in what order to put stuff in.

You'll become best friends with your skin, you know

once you try it and you'll be like, Okay bestie,

do we like this today?

And she'll tell you.

Tatcha Water Cream.

The cutest thing about this top is this is actually a spoon.

Take a little swoop, put it on your hand.

I like to get it all warm

because I just don't like cold stuff on my face.

Do you see this glow?

I like to go up.

Outer Banks is obviously a very fun show

and we shoot a lot of it outdoors.

I've learned to incorporate like sunscreen.

This is my favorite sunscreen.

It's so light, it's so like, it feels like fluffy

and I don't feel like my pores can't breathe.

So shout out to black girl sunscreen.

[muted piano music]

My last step in skincare is hydrating these lips

cuz you know, dry skin, dry lips.

First up on makeup is contour and I use Fenty Beauty.

[muted jazz music]

For foundation I use Armani Luminous Silk.

I have to mix foundations being like a black girl

they didn't always have like foundations available

for people who look like me and like my complexion.

So sometimes it's so hard

trying to find like the right match.

Sometimes I could be on set

and it's like my face don't match my neck,

my neck don't match my chest,

and then you just like feel crazy.

So I'm so happy about like

the times that we're living in now.

I put a little bit of each on this piece of glass

and I'm gonna mix them around.

You know right now we're, people bake cakes,

we're baking faces right now.

And we're gonna go around this contour that we already set.

I was really an overwhelming response

you know when I really got on the show simply because

when it comes to like representation,

you know usually girls of darker hues,

you don't really see them.

Especially like this season, maybe possibly a love interest.

I got so many DMs.

Young women and young girls and even parents

who would send me like pictures of their kids

like dressed up like Cleo and was like

you know my dark skin beautiful black girl sees you

and now she feels like she can be on TV

and she sees herself represented.

So that was such a big thing.

It was so deep that I really like wanted Cleo

to like have braids in and to just like be ethnic

and just be like unapologetically black.

Concealer, we are using Fenty Beauty in 400.

This probably isn't the neatest

but I promise you in the end it's gonna be fire.

You gotta trust the process.

And by the way, I learned how to do makeup -

YouTube University.

[low jazz music]

I'm Jamaican, Haitian, Indian, you can see all those colors

kind of like reflected in my skin.

Which is kind of like how we have to mix so many colors.

Highlight from Nudestix.

A lot of the looks that I do,

a lot of them are inspired by like Iman, Naomi Campbell.

I'm obsessed with like dark skinned supermodels

and I study all of them.

I remember Iman in the Remember the Time video.

Obviously I wasn't alive when it came out

but like I watch it like all the time and I feel

like I should do that for my Halloween costume.

♪ Do you remember aah ♪

And we're just gonna go on like the high points.

[muted jazz music]

Danessa Myricks powder and I'm gonna put it all over my face

like so like that.

I feel like we should be playing Lizzo -

♪ Feeling good as hell ♪

Bronzer.

I have a round face so we're just gonna give her

some shape, you know, we're looking good.

[plastic snaps]

As Cleo would say, woi pa ru.

We are using Pat McGrath on the Bliss, right?

Love this one, this is like one of my favorite ones.

Brows, I'm gonna go in with Anastasia and my new obsession

is threading because it lasts so much longer.

[light jazzy music]

You know I'm hairy everywhere else except my eyelashes.

[laughs] So I'm gonna go in with a little mini baby curler

and I like to use a little curler

because I can really get like detailed.

[light jazzy music]

Lancôme mascara.

And I like to like twirl my brush.

[light jazz music]

Mac lip liner. [light jazz music]

I overline.

Mostly on the bottom, I don't overline the top.

And then on the top I'll do like a thicker line.

So I'll like tilt the pencil more,

#IsawSzadoit and I've never looked back.

Mac lipstick. [jazzy music]

Lancôme juicy tubes.

And this one's gonna give it

like a cute little like rosy glittery hue.

I bring all the lip stuff with me

because I'm always snacking

so I keep it with me at all times.

You know how Beyonce carries hot sauce, which I do too.

So it's like the hot sauce and the lip stuff.

That's what you're gonna find in my bag.

We love a good dewy skin and we're gonna go in

with this Tatcha Luminous Dewey skin mist.

What's a good makeup routine without smelling good?

So I love this Can't Stop Loving You by Kilian.

I'm gonna give someone a hug,

this is what they're gonna smell.

So I go behind my left ear, my right ear, or vice versa.

This is the look.

We're all set and ready to go.

Thank you so much Vogue for coming through.
