[gasping]

Vogue, what are you doing here?

Get outta my room!

Just kidding.

Hi, it's Cara and we are doing Behind the Glam today.

So you'll see all the sneak peeks

and all the getting ready stuff.

[upbeat music]

Puppy, come here.

You want to come up?

Look at his little bandan.

I wish he could come with me, my date.

Yeah, that's nice.

This year's Met Ball theme is Karl Lagerfeld,

a line of beauty.

I wouldn't be where I am today without him

and his belief in me.

When you were close to him,

you really got to see a side of him

that, I think, it was very, very special

and when he loved, he loved very hard.

Right now we are about to go face first into the skin prep.

My name is Jayden Ho Pham.

I'm helping Hung to prep Cara for the Met today.

I apply two different kind of mask.

One on top and one in the bottom like that,

little face lift for her.

Definitely the calm before the storm.

But a fun, an enjoyable storm.

[gentle music]

[gentle music continues]

I feel good.

I feel moist, which is what you want

before you start makeup, I suppose.

I do you think that skin care is a form of self care.

It can be quite meditative when you take the time out.

It can also be moment to have fun, recharge, get excited.

But usually I'll be watching something else

like Succession or something real juicy.

But today is juice enough for me.

[Anthony] Hi, I'm Anthony Perez.

I assist Danielle Priano and we're prepping for a wig wrap.

So this is the Chanel 2012 cruise.

That's our loosely based reference.

[hairspray spraying]

Do you think you'll use the whole can?

[Anthony] Yeah, that's why we have multiples.

Oh my God. [Anthony laughing]

If anyone likes a cigarette near my head.

[Anthony laughing]

Ka-boom!

[imitates explosion]

This is my 11th Met.

Hi, I'm Hung Vanngo.

Welcome to my YouTube channel.

Oh, it's not.

I'm just a makeup artist today.

For this look we did more a natural skin

and the focus really on the eye.

Hi, I'm Danielle Priano hairstylist extraordinaire.

Not soprano. [chuckling]

I'm in the middle of wrapping Cara's hair

and the reason why we're doing a little wrap

is because she might be wearing a wig.

It might have been like 250 hours worth of collaboration

before we came to the decision of the look for tonight.

We're about halfway through glam.

[Hung] For the eye, I basically do the base

of all the dark black color in matte texture

and then I overlay them with deep gray

and black shimmery to blend.

I think it's the first year I've ever done a trial day.

We all felt like it was a good idea to just have content

and feel out and be confident in the look

'cause there's nothing worse than being stressed

at the Met preparation shit, it's just not worth it.

But Hung had a great idea of what he thought was good.

There was one thing I collaborated in was the fact

that some of the blue eyeliner was burning me.

[Hung] The glitter.

That's the only suggestion I had was that

it may hurt too much.

[laughing] [gentle music]

Spraying the wig with water

because it's been traveled through all day and all night.

She's been through a lot.

She's been maybe, I don't know, one, two, three,

probably about four different colors in the last 24 hours.

So she's just needs a little refresh.

She's like a flower that was like wilted

and she's no longer wilting anymore.

[laughing]

[Hung] She's a different person on camera.

I know, what the hell was voice changing.

Why?

Where is that coming out from?

She wants to be moist.

That's why you two work so well together.

You're ying and yang.

Ying and yang.

He's the sugar, you're the spice.

Yes, that's great.

And in this industry, these guys know more than anything.

But, you see each other more than you see your family

and having that support and that fun and that hard work

and people who really are grateful and wanna make,

create, incredible things.

Cara love a black liner or a black smudgy eye,

a black smokey eye.

You know what I mean?

It was in that vein of that rock and roll, kind of punky.

Shiz.

What time is it?

5:30. What?

[Danielle] Oh my God!

You have to leave at 30 minutes!

[upbeat music]

For the lips, even though we do more unmuted nude lips

but I still like the lip to look full

so we did over lining the upper lips

with the lip pencil first

and then we apply the lipstick after.

For the eye, we want dramatic lashes but still look natural.

I do a natural single strip lashes first

and then I add quite a few individual as well.

[upbeat music continues]

[camera clicking]

So we're done with putting the wig on.

It took us a little time to get it on

and Cara's about to walk the red carpet,

so stay tuned everybody.

Karl Lagerfeld.

Oh no, it's sick.

My heart is pounding like a little baby drum.

We are ready.

I'm wearing full Karl Lagerfeld, Chrome Hearts Jewelry

makeup by Hung and hair by the one of Danielle, dream team.

Let's go, see you there.

[camera clicking] [upbeat music]

Cara! Cara Delevingne!

[crowd cheering] [upbeat music continues]
